So, who's excited about "The Children of Húrin", which is being released April? I'm looking forward to it, certainly, and I hope I can get a copy (if I have the money then. We'll see.) early on. If you haven't heard about it, go read about at www.tolkienestate.com/. The Children of Húrin » takes the reader back to a time long before «The Lord of the Rings», in an area of Middle-earth that was to be drowned before ever Hobbits appeared, and when the great enemy was still the fallen Vala, Morgoth, and Sauron only his lieutenant. This heroic romance is the tale of the Man, Húrin, who dared to defy Morgoth's force of evil, and his family's tragic destiny, as it follows his son Túrin Turambar's travails through the lost world of Beleriand. Any thoughts?

hmm, i think it will be a good book, however its going to be the same as the silmarillion, just a lot more in-depth.

I probably won't get it. I can read about Túrin in The Silmarillion. I think it's just a way for them to make more money.
Anyone else a member of The Tolkien Society though? It's an e-mail list. They've been having a field day with it sending out the good and bad reviews.
